Contemporary / Transitional

Contemporary design is broadly defined as the building style of the present day. Typically these homes include an unusual frame, open floor plans, large windows throughout the home and connect indoor and outdoor spaces. Natural light and warm colors are common. Contemporary styles mix classic and modern designs, while integrating smooth, clean shapes.

California Santa Barbara

Spanish Colonial design regularly showcases stucco exterior walls, clay tile, flat roofs, terracotta and small balconies. Decorative wrought iron trim and columns can be found surrounding courtyards and pools decorated with fountains. Arched window frames can be found throughout the rectangular floor plans and ornate ornamental grillwork.

Mediterranean design is usually based around a rectangular floor plan and features massive, symmetrical facades. Arches, circular windows, red tile roofs, stucco and wrought iron balconies are common elements found in Mediterranean style homes. Landscape design plays a large part in this style, as lush gardens are often sought after when designing a home with this style in mind.

Farmhouse / Traditional

Traditional design stands the test of time and will always be in style. Traditional homes are typically two stories and feature building materials such as white siding and red brick. Large columned porches are not uncommonly found on the symmetrical fa├žade, with symmetrical windows flanking the front exterior of the house. Ornate doors with pediments and semi-circular windows are regularly used.
